Swanley man ordered to pay for car window repairs after road rage incident during Dartford Crossing traffic

An enraged passenger who smashed a motorist's window during a road rage incident on the Dartford Crossing approach has been ordered to pay for the repairs.

The man is alleged to have got out a car in stationary traffic and smashed the window of the vehicle behind.

The incident happened at around noon on Saturday, February 26 between the M25 and the A282 trunk road.

It is reported that the man, who was travelling as a passenger, got out the car whilst traffic was at a standstill.

But he was spotted in the act by a police officer, who was also sat in the queue.

The officer arrested the suspect, a man in his 50s, from Swanley.

He later agreed to pay for the damage he caused and received a caution.
