Brandon Baily, daughter Sofia, friends and family, from Salmon Road, Dartford, raise money for GOSH with version of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke

A dad and his daughter are singing their hearts out to help a children’s hospital, and picking up a few friends to help along the way.

Brandon Baily, of Salmon Road, Dartford, and four-year-old Sofia are recreating Carpool Karaoke to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Carpool Karaoke is part of The Late Late Show With James Corden on American television, where the host and a celebrity are filmed singing in his car. It has become an internet hit.

Mr Baily and Sofia took a drive around Dartford last Sunday, through the tunnel, over the bridge, and around the town with three friends. They also went past the Leigh Academy where they all – except Sofia – went to school.

The family spend each morning together in the car, as Mr Baily drives his wife Katherine to work before heading off to his job as a graphic designer for the Leigh Academies Trust.

Mrs Baily was looked after by Great Ormond Street Hospital as a child when she dislocated her hip. Mr Baily said: “We’re always singing along to music in the car, and we thought with how popular carpools had become, it would be a good way to fundraise.

“I’ve recorded it before and shared it with Facebook friends and it went down really well.

“Katherine is going to be involved too, and we’re going to be taking another drive this Sunday with some more friends.

“We’ll then create a video to share on social media and hopefully people will watch it and click through to the Just Giving link.”

The video will be ready next week. Visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tourofdartford
