Firefighters called to St Radigunds Road in Dover after reports of a car crashing into house

Firefighters were called to St Radigunds Road in Dover yesterday to reports a car had crashed into a house.

Crews arrived at the scene at 5.05pm on Thursday but a Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said when they arrived they found a car had rolled into a garden and crashed into a fence.

The spokesman said: "A Vauxhall had rolled into a bank and into a garden. One fire engine was on the scene but no action was needed by us."

Police and SECAmb were also at the scene.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The car rolled back as the owner was getting her young child out of the car."

SECAmb confirmed one ambulance and one ambulance car attended. Paramedics assessed the mum at the scene but there were no injuries or need for hospital treatment.
