Buckland Hospital in Dover to shut overnight due to maintenance

Dover's Buckland Hospital will be shut for 24 hours from tonight (Saturday) while maintenance checks go ahead.

The Coombe Valley Road site will close its doors from 7.30pm until 7.30pm tomorrow (Sunday.)

Patients who need the Minor Injuries Unit are advised to go to Victoria Hospital in London Road Deal, or the Victoria Hospital in Radnor Park Avenue, Folkestone.

An East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: "Should a patient arrive at the Buckland Hospital they will be triaged by a nurse and sent to the most appropriate location."

The hospital officially opened to the public in June of this year.
