Two men arrested after woman found dead in Gravesend car park

Two men have been arrested after a woman was found dead in a car park.

Police and paramedics were called to the site in Bath Street, Gravesend, at around 5.30am on Tuesday.

Forensics officers were pictured at the scene which had been cordoned off.

The woman’s death is being treated as unexplained and her next of kin have been informed.

A police spokesman said: “Two men in their 50s were arrested in connection with the incident and they have since been bailed until October 20 and 21 pending further inquiries.”

People living nearby were sent an email, which has been seen by KentOnline, about the “serious incident”.

It said: “It has been reported this morning that throughout the night, an unknown person has sadly died in the car park.

“The police are now on site and examining the area.”

It added how the ramp down to car park area had been sealed off while officers conducted their investigation.
