Arrests after police raid cannabis factory

POLICE arrested two men after seizing cannabis plants with a street value of around £33,500 at a property in Kent.

Officers raided the premises in Cottall Avenue, Chatham, and found 134 cannabis plants.

A 37-year-old man from the London area was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity. He was bailed pending further enquiries.

A 71-year-old man was also arrested. He was released without charge.

Det Insp John Coull said: "This is another significant find thanks to community information. It is also a significant blow to those who are intent on profiting from drugs."
