Crash robs four children of their mum

A 31-year-old mother of four has died from serious head injuries after a crash on an accident-plagued road.

Cheryl Routledge is thought to have given birth to her youngest child just a few weeks ago. All the children are under the age of four.

Kent Police are now seeking witnesses to the accident which happened while she was driving her red Suzuki Grand Vitara and travelling east on Crofton Road, Orpington. She was taken to hospital but died later. She lived at Mosyer Drive, Orpington.

Police say she clipped some bollards on a central reservation and punctured the offside tyres causing her to lose control and steer into the path of an oncoming brown removal lorry. She was taken to hospital but died later.
