Fun promised at air ambulance open day

A DAY packed full of fun has been organised by the Kent Air Ambulance Trust to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.

The trust will be throwing open the hangar doors to its purpose built headquarters in Wheelbarrow Park Estate, Pattenden Lane, Marden, on Bank Holiday Sunday, August 25.

Visitors will be able to view at close quarters their unique service and the aircraft at the heart of the operation.

Highlight of the day will be a demonstration of the Kent Air Ambulance in a real time simulated road traffic accident rescue. The audience will see the helicopter emergency medical service crew working in close collaboration with the police, fire brigade and ambulance services - just as they do almost every day throughout the year.

In adition there will be live music, exhibitions and amusements, clowns, face painting, carousel rides, games and a bicycle health and safety check.

Hot and cold food will also be available. Admission is free and there will be ample parking.
