Lorry fire led to road closure

A lorry fire in Swanley on Wednesday evening forced the closure of the A20.

The transit pickup was ablaze when a retained crew from Swanley fire station were called to the blaze at 5.25pm.

Firefighters were there for just over 20 minutes putting out the flames on the vehicle, which was carrying scrap metal.

There were no injuries.

It is unclear at what time the road was re-opened to traffic.
