Robbery at off-licence

Staff were forced to hand over cash by a hooded man who raided an off-licence.

The robber targeted the Local off-licence in Western Road, Borough Green, on Sunday,

evening as staff were shutting up shop, demanding money.

He ran out with what police say was a small amount of cash.

Police believe the driver of silver car seen travelling past the off licence towards Sevenoaks at the time of the robbery, may have information to help their enquiries. They say the car - thought to be a Peugeot - was not involved in the robbery.

The offender, who may have had a scarf over his face, is aged about 20, 5ft 9in, slim and with brown hair. He was wearing a hooded top and blue demin shorts.

The driver, and anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at the time, is asked to call 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Information can also be emailed to appeals.westkent@kent.pnn.police.uk
