Young man attacked outside pub

A MAN was punched in the face as he made his way home from a night out at a pub in Rainham.

The victim, who is 22, was knocked unconscious by the attack and left with cuts and injures to his mouth.

The assault happened just outside the back entrance of the White Horse Pub, on the corner of Station Road and the High Street between midnight and 1am on Sunday.

A spokesman for Medway Police said: “The victim leaving the White Horse public house with two friends when he was punched in the face by a man and was knocked unconscious. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance."

The offender is between 20 to 25 about 5ft 10in, of medium build with gelled dark brown hair. He was wearing a light coloured shirt and jeans.

“He did have one very distinctive feature, a two-inch white plaster on his right hand cheek.”
