MIDFIELDER Adrian Clarke has become Welling manager Adrian Pennock's seventh signing of the close season.
Clarke has agreed a one-year deal with the Wings after leaving Margate, who were relegated from the Nationwide Conference South last season.
The 30-year-old played 47 games for Margate last season, scoring six goals.
Pennock said: "It's a great signing for us. He is a good footballer and will gives us balance on the left-hand side.
"I met Adrian once and he wanted to come and play for Welling."
Clarke started his career at Arsenal and made 10 first-team appearances during the 1995/96 season.
A former England youth international, he played more than 100 times for Southend and has also figured for Stevenage in non-league circles.
