Sevenoaks' Ishwar Sharma wins bronze for Great Britain at the United Yoga Sports Association Championships in New Delhi

A twelve-year-old yoga prodigy from Sevenoaks returned with a podium finish from the sports championships that were recently held in New Delhi.

Ishwar Sharma represented Great Britain at the United Yoga Sports Association Championships and won bronze in traditional yoga. More than 260 athletes from all over the world took part.

Sharma was also given opportunity to speak on yoga and how it can help children at the inauguration.

He has been awarded the Points of Light award by Prime Minister Boris Johnson - recognising outstanding individual volunteers and people who are making a change in their community.

Sharma has also been presented with a British Youth Citizen award at the House of Lords for his contribution to yoga and has been awarded a Global Child Prodigy award and many other national and international accolades.
