Two more arrests in murder investigation after man shot dead on Isle of Sheppey

Three people have been arrested after a man was short dead.

Police were called at around 9.40am on Sunday to an address in Fourth Avenue, Eastchurch, where a man was found dead.

He had suffered an injury consistent with a gunshot wound.

At around 1pm on the same day, a man aged in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

Two further suspects have since been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder – a 42-year-old man from Sidcup and a 33-year-old woman from Greenwich.

DI Adam Marshall of the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate said: “We are continuing to appeal to drivers who may have been in this area, between 7.30pm and 9pm on Saturday, June 10, to check for any dashcam footage which may assist our investigation.

“It is important we identify the movements of people or vehicles in the Warden Road and Fourth Avenue areas, within this period.”
