Rubbish fire tackled in derelict motor museum in Ramsgate

Crews tackled a rubbish blaze inside a derelict motor museum.

Firefighters were called to Paragon Street, Ramsgate, at just after 2.30pm yesterday.

A small pile of rubbish was alight inside.

A statement from Kent Fire and Rescue said: "We searched the building to be sure no one was inside - which there was not.

"We used a hose reel jet to deal with the fire and thermal imaging cameras to check for hot spots."

The crew left the scene just after 3pm.
