Fire crews tackle blaze in double decker bus

A double decker bus caught fire on Thursday morning after its engine overheated.

Nobody was on board the Stagecoach bus apart from the driver as it was travelling along Cootings Road, Aylesham around 8am. Crews from Aylesham fire station used breathing apparatus as a precaution and another pump from Canterbury was called out as cover.

The fire was quickly brought under control around 8.30am.
