A MAN and a child were rescued from a lift at the Swallow hotel on Ramsgate seafront on Easter Monday morning.
Firefighters from the town opened the lift that was stuck at the ground floor shortly before 9am.
They also helped a wheelchair-bound woman from an upper floor down a fire escape to the ground floor as the lift was out of order while repairs were carried out.
