The top prize for a writing competition organised by the KM Charity Team is the opportunity to become boss of Leeds Castle, Maidstone for a morning.

Also known as ‘The Loveliest Castle in the World’, the historic Kentish landmark is home to a variety of wildlife and gardens, and offers play areas, a maze, falconry displays and much more over its 500 acres.

The KM Charity Team, which run the KM Walk to School initiative and reading scheme Buster’s Book Club, are calling for eagle-eyed youngsters to submit a creative writing piece which focuses on all the things they see and hear on the walk to school. Whoever provides the best description of their journey will be crowned king or queen of the castle.

To enter, simply visit www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/schools/writingcomp/ to download the ‘I Spy’ Writing Competition activity pack.

Submissions must be entered by noon on deadline day March 18.
