A police search was triggered after a man was seen running around a village with a 'weapon'.
Police were called to the scene in Wye last night after residents reported seeing a man acting erratically and carrying some form of weapon.
Residents in the Bramble Lane area reported hearing shouts at around 9.35pm last night.
Several then said that they heard loud footsteps running down the road.
Police confirmed that officers were called to the area following reports of a man acting erratically, but were unable to locate him.
It was reported that 'weapon' the man was carrying was in fact a stick.
