Elderly couple cut free from car after crash on Harbledown bypass

An elderly couple were cut free
from their car by firefighters after a two-car accident outside
Canterbury on Tuesday.

The accident on the A2050
Harbledown bypass happened just before 3pm. The driver and
passenger were taken to hospital but their injuries were not
believed to be serious.

The road was closed eastbound for
much of the afternoon along with the slip road off the A2 in
order to clear debris off the carriageway.

It was expected to remain closed
into the early evening rush hour.
