Hockey girls get England call

TWO of Canterbury Hockey Club’s younger brigade have been named in Danny Kerry’s first England women’s squad.

Teenagers Natasha Brennan and Natalie Seymour have both been named in the 32-strong squad which travels to Potchefstroom in South Africa early in the New Year.

The squad, which includes 14 players with no senior experience, will play three under-21 matches as well as three senior Tests.

Forward Brennan has represented England B while midfielder Seymour, who joined the the Canterbury club in the close season from Maidstone, has played for England Under-18s.
