Appeal after BMW is stolen from Dover's Morrisons car park

A BMW was stolen from a supermarket car park before being driven the wrong way down a one-way street.

The alleged theft took place while the vehicle was unattended in Morrisons car park in Bridge Street, Dover, at around 4.10pm on Thursday.

The silver BMW 1 series was allegedly seen travelling the wrong way along one-way street Charlton Green a short time later.

The car was later recovered and officers arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He has since been released under investigation.

Police are now keen to hear from anyone who saw the theft and may have dashcam footage or CCTV which could assist enquiries.
