Crews tackle fire in roof of Kimberly-Clark paper mill in Northfleet

Around 30 firefighters have been at a Northfleet paper mill after reports of a blaze in the roof this morning.

Six crews were called to the Kimberly-Clark plant, in Crete Hall Road, at just after 10.20am.

Firefighters were at the scene dealing with the blaze until around 1pm.

No one was injured in the fire, which is under investigation.

It is not the first fire at the mill. There has been a series of major blazes in the past few years, and several smaller emergencies.

The main plant had to be completely rebuilt after the original Kimberly-Clark plant was completely destroyed in July 2004.
