Ashford's Curious Brewery boss Gareth Bath quits Chapel Down - Frazer Thompson to become interim MD

The boss of the Curious Brewery has quit.

Gareth Bath has been managing director of the Curious brand for the last two years - the beer and cider arm of the Chapel Down empire.

During his time at the helm he oversaw the build of the new brewery in Ashford and a major rebranding.

He is leaving the company to pursue "other interests".

Frazer Thompson, chief executive of Chapel Down Group said: "We wish Gareth well in the future and thank him for his help over the last two years in creating this exciting brand. In the meantime, I will take control of the business in the interim as we build going forwards.”

Gareth Bath said: “It’s been a very exciting journey over the last two years and I’d like to thank everyone at Chapel Down for the experience in building this amazing brand.”

Mr Bath joined Chapel Down in October 2017 from the brewery BrewDog to head up its beer operations. He had been its managing director.
