Boy hurt after hit-and-run in Tunbridge Wells

Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver after a car smashed into a boy yesterday.

The incident happened in North Farm Road, Tunbridge Wells, at around 6.45am.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was walking near the railway bridge when a dark blue Saab-type car smashed into him.

The victim was taken to hospital with a leg injury.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "As part of our inquiries police we would like to trace the driver of the dark blue car who did not stop after the incident happened."
