A fire takes hold at two bungalows in Swanley

A fire has almost completely destroyed two properties in Swanley.

Four fire crews spent more than two hours tackling the blaze at the derelict bungalows in Wood Street on Thursday, April 1.

Police closed a section of the road after firefighters arrived at about 11.25am. Crews from Dartford, Swanley and Horton Kirby eventually left the scene at 2pm.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said both properties had been 90 per cent destroyed by flames, which had not spread any further. No-one was injured.
