Firefighters cut boy free from cycle

A BOY was injured when his leg was trapped in the frame of his bicycle.

Fire fighters and paramedics were called to Ruxley roundabout at about 7.30pm on Sunday when the 11-year-old's foot slipped off one of the pedals and became lodged between the bars of the bike.

Fire fighters used specialist cutting equipment to free the boy and he was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup.
