Queen alters her Kent agenda

THE agenda for the Queen's planned visit to Medway has changed. She will be visiting the University of Greenwich at Chatham Maritime instead of Chatham's Buckmore Park complex.

The Queen, accompanied by Prince Philip, is still due on March 28 but Buckingham Palace has announced the change of venue. She will inaugurate the universities at Medway project by unveiling a plaque and meet young people at Medway Children's University.

It is understood the opening of the £20 million Scouting centre at Buckmore Park, Chatham has been postponed.

The Princess Royal visits the KM Chatham Navy Days in June. The Queen will also visit Canterbury on March 28.
