Three people were taken to hospital after a three-car pile up in Strood yesterday, Sunday.

A BMW, a Porsche and a Ford Focus were involved in the crash in London Road at about noon.

It is thought a motorcyclist may have also been involved in the accident.

The driver, a passenger who had been travelling in the Porsche and the driver of the Focus were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

All three casualties were male and were thought to have suffered minor injuries.

Firefighters from Strood and Medway stations were on the scene, along with police and paramedics.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “We received an initial report that a person was trapped inside a vehicle but this turned out not to be the case.”
