Crystal Palace - Gillingham

Gillingham's opening fixture of the New Year fell victim to a frozen pitch at Selhurst Park.

Nottingham match referee Fraser Stretton called the match off at 1pm following three inspections.

Mr Stretton said that he was unhappy with an area of the pitch on the Arthur Wait side of the ground.

The Gillingham team had already arrived at the ground when the decision was made. Seven coachloads of supporters were turned back shortly after leaving Medway.
