Invicta Dynamos are a point away from their sixth consecutive National League South title after racking up two more big wins over the weekend.

On Saturday, Kevin Parrish’s side completed a season whitewash of the Peterborough Islanders by putting seven past the Cambridgeshire side at the Peterborough Arena.

Then, showing no sign of fatigue, the champions elect made it 23 games unbeaten by hammering their soon-to-be play-off rivals Oxford City Stars 11-4 at the Ice Bowl on Sunday.

Milan Kostolny continued his march towards the league’s scoring title by scoring another six goals, four of which came in the rout of the Stars.

AJ Smith, Elliot Andrews, Lewis Burke, Grant Baxter and Lawrence Billing added further goals on Sunday, as did defencemen Tim Smith and Adam Copland, who also notched an impressive three and six assists respectively.

All eyes now turn to Planet Ice Milton Keynes next Sunday, where a draw against the resurgent Thunder would spark Invicta’s bid for a National League clean sweep.
