Former England cricketer returns to county

Former Kent and England cricketer Dean Headley will be the special guest at a cricket masterclass event at Linton Park Cricket Club.

The club, near Maidstone is hosting the Scrumpy Jack Cricket Masterclass on Sunday, May 17, in association with npower.

Linton will play their first round game against Brasted Invicta, beginning at 1.30pm and Dean Headley will be the club’s special guest from 12.30pm. He will meet and greet the Linton Park cricket team and other guests at the club and there will also be the chance for autographs, photos and some coaching for club juniors.

Headley played for Kent from 1993 and was selected for the England cricket team, where he played between 1997 and 1999.

Other attractions on the day include special give aways and fund-raising events and all are welcome.

The club is in Heath Road, Linton, opposite the Cornwallis Academy school.
