Two men were taken to hospital after being cut out of their car following a road accident.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut the roof off the vehicle after the incident, which also involved two other vehicles, on Blue Bell Hill yesterday (Sunday) at just before 4pm.

The two men, who were in the same car, were taken to hospital with suspected neck injuries. No-one else was injured.

The previous night, police closed part of the A20 at Hollingbourne after a Range Rover caught fire.

Firefighters used foam, a hose reel and breathing aparatus to tackle the blaze, which broke out at around 8pm.

Police closed the road to allow fire crews space, and reopened one lane shortly afterwards, before fully reopening the road at 10.30pm.
