Travellers pitch up at Beechings Playing Field Twydall after being at Medway Park, in Mill Road, Gillingham

The travellers are back and have taken over a grassy space for the sixth time since May.

The group has been spotted re-entering Beechings Playing Field, in Beechings Way, Twydall.

It has been a nightmare for residents as the travellers have been causing havoc in Twydall for the past two weeks. There has been thefts, intimidating behaviour and human faeces in public places.

The traveller community had moved to the car park of Medway Park, in Mill Road, Gillingham last night.

However, the council forced them to move and this afternoon they arrived back in Beechings Playing Field.

Residents say the travellers cut a lock on the gate around the park to gain access.

This also happened the last time the travellers were on the site.

Medway Council had put barriers round the field to stop the travellers getting in, however this does not seem to be stopping the caravans.
