A MAN alleged to have repeatedly stabbed a 54-year-old woman has appeared before a crown court judge.

Kelvin Gray, 49, of St Agnes Gardens, Sheerness, denies the attempted murder of Sonja Wraight on January 29 this year.

Maidstone Crown Court heard that the woman was allegedly stabbed by Gray 14 times.

The trial is due to start on July 18 and is expected to last four days. Gray was remanded in custody until that date.
