Appeal for witnesses to Greatstone knife robbery

A robber armed with a knife has threatened a post office owner before trying to grab several boxes of cigarettes.

According to police, the robber entered the Greatstone post office owner in The Parade at 12.15pm on Tuesday.

Following the attempt, he ran from the store and was chased by a member of the public and was last seen running along Dunes Road.

He is described as white, aged in his early 20s, of slim build, 5ft 10in tall and was wearing a black coat with a hooded top and a scarf around his face.
