What's in the mystery parcel?

Only the genuine owner knows and is now being asked to reclaim it.

A woman shopper had left the item behind at Ashford’s County Square shopping centre during the Christmas rush.

It was part of a batch of parcels she had brought to be wrapped by the centre’s gift wrapping service on Sunday, December 21.

Commercial manager Fran Burt said: “We believe she had about five parcels but forgot to take the last one.

“If nobody comes forward we will give it to our charity, Demelza House children’s hospice, but we would like the rightful owner to claim it first.”

The parcel is a small and oblong, about the size of a box of biscuits, and is believed to be of medium value.

It was one of a mass wrapped by workers, dubbed Santa’s Little Helpers and in costume, next to Debenhams during the festive season.

The owner should contact Mrs Burt on 01233 634001 to collect the gift from the centre’s management suite.

As proof of identity she will be asked what it was and Mrs Burt will open it to check the contents.
