Assault on 13-year-old girl in Hamstreet

Police are hunting a thug who attacked a 13-year-old girl and knocked her unconscious.

The teenager was believed to have been pushed to the ground and kicked by the assailant in Hamstreet.

South Kent Police say the girl had been walking along Warehorne Road and approached a gated field a few metres from the railway bridge.

She was at the location for about 10 minutes before starting to walk on.

Police spokesman Rosy Alexander said: "She believes she was pushed from behind, causing her to fall heavily, injuring her face and ankle.

"She was also kicked in her upper body and heard a male voice but did not understand what he was saying or recognise it."

Police believe the girl was knocked unconscious but did not understand what he was saying or recognise it.
