KENT'S transport boss Keith Ferrin has turned down the petition asking him to reconsider his decision on a controversial devil bus.

In May, Mr Ferrin, cabinet member for transport at Kent County Council (KCC), ordered bus company Kingsman International Travel to remove the flashing devil logo from the 666 service between Ashford and Challock.

The order came after a complaint from a member of the public.

A petition asking for it to be restored was subsequently signed by more than 600 passengers.

But in a letter, Cllr Ferrin writes: "I am sorry that the removal of the devil has spoilt the fun for some people but do not think it right to unnecessarily upset any other Kent residents."
