Driver killed in M20 crash is named

An inquest has been opened into the death of a man killed in a motorway crash last weekend.

The hearing at County Hall in Maidstone named the victim as David Bullen, 32.

He died just after 7.30am last Sunday on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 at Charing Heath.

Roger Sykes, coroner for Mid-Kent and Medway, adjourned the inquest for a date to be fixed.

Mr Bullen was an unemployed man from Ramsey in the Huntindon area of Cambridgeshire.

It was originally reported that Mr Bullen was pronounced dead at the scene after a single car, a blue Suzuki Vitara, left the carriageway and landed on its roof.

A 19-year-old woman also suffered a minor head injury in the accident and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
