Driver 'serious' after car rolls over

A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries today after his Ford Focus car left the road and rolled onto its roof.

The incident happened on the A28 near Ashford shortly before this morning's rush hour.

The driver, the only occupant in the car, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford.

Police say the car overturned just past the Tithe Barn Lane junction with the Great Chart bypass, the juction into the Singleton estate.

The road was closed all morning as police investigated the incident.
