Threee years ago Beverli Rhodes was injured in the London bombings which killed 52 people.

Now she is rebuilding her life in Ashford where she is helping others who have undergone stressful experiences.

Ms Rhodes, 47, who recently moved to Kennington, was on her way to work - ironically in counter terrorism - on July 7, 2005, when one of three bombs exploded on the tube train she was travelling on, when it was under Russell Square.

Blood was streaming down her face, the blast had shattered all of her teeth and she believed she was going to die.

Ms Rhodes managed to walk to nearby Tavistock Square and was later reunited with her partner, Tina Beckham, a doctor.

The couple decided to leave London at the end of the year and eventually settled in Ashford.

Ms Rhodes’ still faces sleepless nights and nightmares, some memory loss and problems with co-ordination.

She is not yet back at work, but is doing some consultancy work from home and is also having her home turned into a space where she will help others who have undergone stressful experiences such as accidents, divorce and bereavement.
