Motorist seriously ill in hospital after roadside argument in Folkestone

A motorist is in hospital with serious injuries after a roadside dispute in Alkham.

Police closed part of the Alkham Valley Road at the village of Alkham following the incident, at around 10.17pm yesterday.

It is thought the injured man became involved in an argument with another motorist, which left him with serious injuries.

He was taken to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford, where he is said to be in a stable condition.

Officers investigating the incident said the road would remain closed until mid-afternoon.
