Overhanging tree near Wye causes train disruption

Rail passengers were forced onto replacement buses this afternoon as emergency work is carried out on an overhanging tree.

Network Rail started work to remove the branches near Wye from 1.45pm.

It meant passengers travelling between Ashford and Ramsgate via Canterbury faced disruption.

The work was completed at about 2.15pm.
