Owner's appeal after dog attacked

A disabled pensioner is desperate to thank a mystery rescuer who saved her pet puppy from being attacked.

Fai Ryan, 76, from Great Chart, is besotted with her 16-month-old Patterdale cross Paddy. He is both a companion and a friend.

She was devastated last week when the pup, who was being walked by a friend, was mauled by another dog, damaging his tail and scarring him.

But the attack could have been much worse had a mystery motorist not stopped his car, jumped out and pulled the dogs apart.

Now Mrs Ryan is asking the unknown hero to come forward so she can personally thank him.

She said: “The other dog was pulling at poor little Paddy’s behind like he was a rabbit. A wine-coloured people carrier pulled up and a man got out and separated the dogs. I would have lost my little Paddy had it not been for that man.”

She is asking the rescuer to call her on 01233 622601.
