Police probe double car arson

POLICE are investigating a suspected arson after two cars went up in flames on a Kent street.

Firefighters were called to reports of a Renault Megane and a Vauxhall Corsa being on fire in Old Pond Road, Ashford, in the early hours of Wednesday.

They alerted police at around 1.50am as they suspected the blazes were started deliberately.

The Renault is said to have sustained around £1,500 worth of damage while the Vauxhall is considered to be a write-off.
