The Ministry of Defence has named three British Kent-based soldiers killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday by a member of the Afghan National Army.

Major James Joshua Bowman, Lieutenant Neal Turkington and Corporal Arjun Purja Pun were from 1st Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles based in Folkestone.

The Taliban says the rogue soldier was under its command and they are now protecting him.
