Thousands of people are expected to pour into Tenterden this weekend for a major music event.
Tentertainment is set to make a triumphant return over Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 8pm, and will see bands perform on the recreation ground while audiences also enjoy a food festival.
Organiser Mike Carter said: “We have put together one of the biggest and best live music and local food events in Kent and best of all, it is free.
“So bring all of your friends and family and come and enjoy a fantastic day out in one of Kent’s most beautiful towns.”
Bands set to entertain include The Jive Aces, Chris Smith and his String of Pearls, Cocos Lovers, Paul Dunton and local rock band, D-finitive.
Last year’s event saw about 4,000 enjoy the one-day festival. Thanks to its popularity and money raised, it was decided to not only stage it again but hold it over two days and incorporate a food festival.
kmfm breakfast presenter Webbo will be hosting Sunday’s fun after thoroughly enjoying himself last year.
He said: “After last year’s event that I attended and enjoyed very much, I was flattered and honoured to be asked to help compere this year’s Tentertainment.
“Unfortunately I can’t make the Saturday, but will be there for the Sunday and frankly, I can’t wait. I’ve seen the line up and the bar has been well and truly raised.
“I look forward to seeing as many people down there as possible.”
Mike Carter said: “The weather looks like it’s going to be fine and we are looking forward to another big event.
“The food festival will involve five marquees on the recreation ground offering food and drink, including a beer tent.”
He added: “We are trying to attract lots of people and promote our wonderful town.”
