Ashford Town’s away woes continued with a 3-0 defeat at mid-table Walton & Hersham in Ryman League Division 1 South on Tuesday night.

Hugo Langton took charge in the absence of Steve Lovell, pictured, and despite a fully-fit squad, the Nuts and Bolts found themselves 2-0 down by the break.

After in-form Town striker Joe Fuller was forced off through injury Aaron Murphy opened the scoring after 24 minutes with a superb 35-yard lob over Seb Barton after a lack of communication in the Town defence.

Sub Mark Lovell went close to a leveller before Louis Clark doubled the advantage with a deflected shot on the stroke of half-time.

Town switched to a 3-3-4 formation at the break and Paul Jones almost pulled one back before Jordan Cheadle rounded-off the scoring on the break five minutes from time to leave Town fourth from bottom.
