Yet more snow

With scores of schools closed, two inches of overnight snow and snow falling again this morning today looks like being a stay-at-home day for many Ashford and Folkestone residents.

People woke up to another covering of snow on their cars and gardens and snow falling steadily across the area.

Ungritted side roads were a problem for many and even major roads in Ashford town centre were proving problematic, with a covering of snow on many.

Major disruption was also likely for commuters battling to get to London on what was already a reduced service.

Scores of schools were expected to remain closed today.

And with it being the end of the working week it was expected that many people would not even attempt to try the journey to work.

All travellers are advised to listen to traffic and travel reports on kmfm throughout the day.
